Isabelle

Isabelle is a 7-year-old sweetheart with a tender heart, a cautious nature, and so much love to give once she feels safe. She isn’t the kind of dog who shows her full personality right away. Isabelle needs someone willing to give her time, space, and patience — because once she trusts you, her affectionate side begins to shine.

Isabelle has some stranger-danger tendencies and can be fearful of new people. She will need slow introductions and time to become familiar with someone new. She is not a “rush right up and say hello” kind of dog — she is a quiet, sensitive girl who needs her people to move at her pace and let trust grow naturally.

She also prefers a peaceful environment. Loud noises can make her nervous, and high-energy situations may overwhelm her. Isabelle would do best in a calm, stable home with people who understand shy dogs and can offer consistency, kindness, and gentle guidance.

Once she feels secure, Isabelle enjoys the simple comforts: tasty treats, a cozy routine, and a comfortable dog bed for long, peaceful naps. She does well with calm, easygoing dogs and cats, and she may especially benefit from a calm dog friend who can help her feel more confident.

Isabelle isn’t looking for a busy household or constant excitement. She’s looking for a soft place to land, patient humans to love, and a home where she can finally relax and be understood.
